I have been taking Adderall for a little over a year now and I've been pretty happy with the results. I notice a definite improvement in my work, and that makes me feel really good. It helps me to concentrate and finish projects, rather than get distracted like I normally would. I feel like it saves me a lot of time. I'm going back to school this fall and I think that it's really going to help; I look forward to being able to really focus on school, which has always been a problem for me.
On the downside, I have noticed that it seems to affect my sleep if I take it too late in the day. I also occasionally get a little nauseous if I take the pills too close together; so I have to make sure I take them at exactly the right time. These problems are very minor, though, and not bad enough to make me want to switch medications.

I play soccer a lot in my spare time because it is my favorite sport. As a result of playing so much I have acquired nasty shin splints. It got to the point where I could barely play through the mind numbing pain. I went to my local pharmacy and found Brufen. At a competitive price compared to the other brands it was an easy choice to make. I used it at my next soccer game and my pain just washed away.
I owe my continual play of soccer to Brufen. Without it I just don't know what I would do. If you have any pain problems I suggest you use Brufen as it easily alleviates them.

My three year old child is always running around getting scrapes and cuts. I make sure to use neosporin topical ointment whenever he does get cut up to make sure there are no infections. So far he's gotten no infections and I plan to further use this medication to make sure he stays healthy.
This product also is very competitively priced compared to other brands. This is a great product to use at a very low price. I suggest that anyone with a young child to have this ointment to apply to cuts and scrapes when they get them.

My psychiatrist prescribed Wellbutrin to treat my depression and it worked wonders. At first I noticed that I had a significant amount more energy and motivation than I had in the past, which did stabilize a bit eventually, but continued to help me feel much better. I am trying to wean myself off of the drug very slowly now that I have learned how to think healthily again (because I haven't experienced depression in the last year or so). The main side effect is that when I drink any amount of alcohol (I rarely drink and when I do it is usually one or two drinks), I feel it a lot more strongly than I would if I were not taking Wellbutrin. I would recommend being careful with alcohol usage while taking this drug. Also, the first few weeks that I took Wellbutrin I had some trouble sleeping. A small amount of Sleep Aid (diphenhydramine) helped a lot.

I took doxycycline for my acne, and I would not recommend it to anyone. While the acne on my face was slightly better after three weeks, the side effects outweighed the little positives the medication did have.
About a week after starting I started to get a facial tic beneath my left eye. It continued on and off all day, and was so noticeable that people commented.
You are not supposed to take this medicine in the morning, or within 2 hours of eating, and within half an hour of laying down. I followed these rules, and still I experienced nausea. Several times I threw up.
Never in my life have I experienced heartburn, or any heart pains for that matter. Within days after starting doxycycline I began experiencing chest pains.
At my next visit to my doctor I was taken off of the medication.

This was my first experience with birth control, and I have to admit, for the first month, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to continue. My first month was HORRIBLE. I suffered weekly migraines, interstitial headaches, cramping, awful mood swings, and severe fatigue, plus my libido dropped to zero. It was really a disappointment, and it left me every day considering calling my doctor to take me off this terrible medication that was screwing with me so badly.
However, at the beginning of the second month, I had none of the symptoms or problems I'd suffered only a week prior. I guess my body just got used to it, because now, I have no complaints whatsoever. It's very simple, effective, and drastically shortened my periods and reduced cramps.
I guess if you can tough it out through the first cycle, I'd recommend it.

When I asked my doctor to help me stop smoking he let me know about a great new drug, Chantix. I wanted to quit, so I immediately filled the prescription. I immediately began to feel the effects. I didn't crave cigarettes the way that I had. I was impressed.
I had my husband, mother, and father all go to the doctor to get Chantix. My husband smoked for 18 years and was able to quit using Chantix within one month. Both of my parents had smoked for over 40 years, but after 2 months of Chantix, and now 3 years later, they are still smoke free.
I did not have any side effects, nor did my husband or father. Unfortunately, my mother exhibitied some depression, which was immediately cured when she was taken off the Chantix.
I would recommend to everyone trying to quit smoking.

I started taking Zoloft after a diagnosis of dysthymia following the death of my best friend. My doctor had told me that it would take a few days to a couple of weeks for the drug to start to take effect and that I would just gradually start to feel better. I had my doubts but was pleasantly surprised. After the drug kicked in I could actually think about my friend without crying.
There were no side effects while I was taking the medication but when I tried to quit I experienced an odd sensation of my body moving but my brain stopping. When I restarted the medication those symptoms of withdrawal went away.

Celebrex has been a wonderful drug for me because I have arthritis in my hands and my knees. I had tried over-the-counter medications for months and had little success. When the doctor prescribed Celebrex I doubted it would help that much because my discomfort was intense. I was amazed at the difference in two days. I could open a jar again and I could walk without limping. I will never be without this medication.

Having been diagnosed with major depression during my freshman year of high school, I was quickly prescribed Prozac--the be all end all to Depression symptoms--or so I was told. However, after taking it for over 5 years, its effect has worn off. The current theory behind Prozac-Poopout (as my Doc calls it) is that Prozac only targets one type of synapse in the brain, resulting in the eventuality (in some people) of a tolerance. While I never suffered any side effects, it did, ultimately, cause the worst of them all: it didn't work.

I have been taking this medication three times a day for my ADHD. I was diagnosed with the Predominantly Inattentive type of ADHD. I usually take one pill before I go to work, another pill in the afternoon and another in the evening.
I like this medication because it treats my ADHD symptoms without causing any negative side effects. It does not suppress my appetite and it does not anxiety or mood swings. I have taken other ADHD medications before and they have made me more angry and emotional. It is also available in the generic form so it saves me a lot of money.

I was prescribed Vivelle Dot patches after having a full hysterectomy, when hot flashes and night sweats were beginning to interfere with normal living activities.
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly and effectively Vivelle Dot treated my menopausal symptoms. I experienced no side effects, only relief from this product.
Use is easy: just pick two days a week to change your patch to a new clean and dry spot on the lower abdomen, and you're all set. They're very clean and small, so they don't interfere with underclothes or peel off accidentally.
I highly recommend this product for relief from hot flashes and night sweats.

I have been on this medication since I was diagnosed with high blood pressure 2 years ago. There was a short period of time that it didn't seem to be working but a slight adjustment of the dosage took care of that. I've been very satisfied with it.
I never experienced any side effects from the medication that I noticed.

I've had good results with Zyrtec in controlling my allergies. It's greatly cut down on the sneezing and runny nose symptoms that I normally have suffered. Zyrtec hasn't caused the extreme drowsiness that I've had to deal with from other anti-histimines. We've also used the children's versions of this medicine for our kids with pretty good results.

Don't ever let a quack misdiagnose you and give you this dangerous garbage! Question everything, and if the only information a doctor gives you is 'because it's for your own good' run the other way.
I had this junk added to my anti-depressant because the anti-depressant didn't work. Me: 'Why don't we change the anti-depressant?' Dr: 'It's not for you to question, if you don't take it I'll put non-compliance in your file.'
This stuff lowers your blood pressure. I fainted, fell through a particle board bookcase, and chipped a vertebrae in my neck. Two years later my neck collapsed. I was told it was from a previous injury of some sort. Hmmm wonder what that could have been?
Shortly after the bookcase incident, and shortly before I told Bruce M. Pfohl, MD University of Iowa Psychiatry Clinic to shove it, I looked the stuff up and the most glaring warning in bold letters was 'do not prescribe to anyone prone to low blood pressure'.
Since my blood pressure hovers around 80/65 I think I might fit in that category. And, since my blood pressure was taken right before The University of Iowa Psychiatry Clinic gave it to me (the results being around 80/65) I can only surmise that The University of Iowa Psychiatric Clinic ignores warnings on medications. Furthermore, since this wasn't the first time with one of their nasty drugs, I can probably say they are guilty of gross negligence/malpractice.
Thank you so much Dr. Bruce M. Pfohl, that cervical fusion really changed my life, and not for the better.

During my teenage years I began suffering from pollen and pet dander allergies. My symptoms, which included itchy eyes and frequent sneezing, made it extremely difficult to enjoy time outside or open the windows of my home during hay season. In addition, simply stepping foot inside a pet owner's home has become a significant nuisance, especially when considering that my best friend has many pets and therefore much pet dander.
Allegra is my one reprieve from these symptoms. I have tried other allergy medications, but none of them worked like Allegra does. My only side effect seems to be occasional bloody noses, but those have been easily dealt with and are much more tolerable than my allergy symptoms were.

I have been taking this drug off and on for the last 3 years for mild depression. The first time I quit I had switched over to the generic version of bupropin and it made me absolutely miserable so I switched back to the name brand version of Wellbutrin. Then I had to stop taking the drug due to a career change that would not allow this kind of medication taken on a daily basis. Now I am back on the medication because that career change fell through.
The reason I explain this to you is because I have gone back to Wellbutrin because it works. It gives me the ability to think things through in a calm and rational manner. Things roll off of my back so-to-speak.
I did not have any negative side effects. I did not gain weight nor lost weight, no dry mouth, nose or eyes, libido stayed the same, no headaches, absolutely nothing to speak of except the positive side effects.
The times I tapered off the medication, I did experience piercing headaches which I have read could happen. These lasted as long as I was tapering off and stopped.

I am discontinuing Topomax after 8 weeks of use. My doctor prescribed Topomax to treat recurring migraine headaches (typically 8 - 9 headaches per month). She prescribed 25mg Topomax 3 times per day (total 75mg daily). There has been no change at all in the frequency, duration or severity of my headaches. However, I am much more tired and sleepy than I was before I started taking Topomax. I'm also much less acute mentally than before I started this medication - I have trouble finding words when I speak or write (moreso when I speak), I have a lot of trouble concentrating, my reading comprehension has decreased and I have difficulty participating in conversations. It's interfering with my work and my life.
