I was prescribed Percocet after having my wisdom teeth removed. It worked sufficiently as a painkiller, not completely eliminating my pain but reducing it enough to be bearable. I found, however, that it made me somewhat sick to the stomach, which was compounded by my extremely limited diet. I also did not enjoy the lightheadedness and slightly confused state it left me in.

I was prescribed Percocet after having my wisdom teeth removed. The opiate derivative was effective at lessening the pain but I believe that because it must be taken in this pill form rather than a natural version, such as an opium tea, it hit my stomach quite hard and caused some nausea and fever-like side effects. However, I am grateful to be able to obtain any sort of opiate when in such great pain and would recommend this product or taken it again.

I had to take oxycodone after I had a breast augmentation in 2001. I cannot tell you how much pain I was feeling right after the surgery. It was as if an elephant sat on my chest and kept getting heavier. The dr. gave me my prescription and let me go. However, the pharmacy didn't open for 2 more hours. I thought I was going to die. So, my girlfriend drove me home and stayed with me. I fell asleep and when the pharmacy opened, we went to get my prescription filled. I made sure to go with her even though I was in agonizing pain. I popped two of those in my mouth and not even 20 minutes later, I was as good as new. This medicine was my miracle in a bottle. Even though I felt a bit woozy, it made me all better.

I just had an emergency c-section and after I was removed from my IV, I was given this to help with the pain. Initially this was wonderful as the pain was relieved and I was mostly able to function. I found that this made me tired in addition to relieving the pain. I weened myself off of this as soon as possible because I am not one who likes the drowsy pain relief sensation.

I took Percocet after I got my wisdom teeth removed. It really made the pain bearable. It made me a bit drowsy, but I welcomed the sleep, especially since I was in bed for 3 days.

I used this to help manage my pain for several weeks after being discharged from the hospital 3 different times for 3 different major abdominal surgeries. While it didn't alleviate all my pain, it definitely helped make it more tolerable.

However, I'd caution people to be careful with it because it's very easy to either become addicted to it or develop a tolerance to it (and require increasingly higher dosages of it)

though this drug helped tremendously with the pain and discomfort post surgury i was easily dependent on them. the withdraw from the drug was not worth the benifit in my case. Also, on this drug I had to lay down and couldn't complete normal daily tasks as it made me drowsy and out of it. I would only recommend the use of this drug for very very short term use at the smallest dose available and ask your doctor about stepping down off of it to minimise the withdraws. hope this helps

I have taken Percocet twice in my life. The first time was for an oral surgery I had to have done. I took the Percocet 15 minutes before my dental appointment and I felt no pain.

The second time was when I had my C-section. That was a painful process, and without the Percocet I would not have been able to care for my son by myself when my husband went back to work.

There were no bad side-effects, I was able to think clearly while taking care of my newborn.

Taking Percocet was extremely helpful to me after having a C-section with my babies. I experienced a lot of pain after giving birth, and Percocet got me through it. I was also functional while taking it, although it sometimes made me sleepy. I was very careful about taking it so that I could remain functional without getting addicted. I felt I was prescribed the right amount, as it was effective without being overwhelming.

I used this medication after undergoing oral surgery to remove all wisdom teeth. The medication was very effective in removing the pain. I was unable to have a solid sleep and was extremely thirsty when on this medication. I also lost my appetite and experienced some nausea. In order to continue with the medication to suppress the pain, I had to cut the pills in half to limit the side-effects.

During the course of well over 18 months,I had undegone Chiropratic therapy.My doctor had me taking vicodin for chronic lower back pain, and i could not function at my work place.After switching to Percocet, I was able to function properly with no pain or ill side effects that other medicine limited me from doing.

I was on this medication to manage pain after having brain surgery. I didn't experience any negative side affects. It may have made me sleepy but I'm not sure it was responsible.
