Back at the age of 14 my daughter was diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder. She had violent mood swings, worse than those from hormones. She was prescribed Lamictal and started to take it the first night after she was diagnosed. It solved her problem and made her able to funtion normally again. I began taking Lamictal after going without medication for my Bi-polar and Borderline Personality Disorders for a few years. I had not really noticed that I needed it until I got into a relationship and started behaving erratically.
After taking just the initial low doses of 25 mg I found that I was managing all my thoughts and reactions better. I have been on the 200mg dosage for about 6 months now and I love it. I have no side effects from it at all.

I started Lamictal a couple of weeks ago. I just recently moved up to two 25 mg tablets once a day. (I'm still on the orange starter pack). This medication has literally changed my life.
I went from some violent mood swings to being a normal calm human being. I still have my days, especially when I'm PMSing, but compared to how I was feeling about two months ago, I feel so great. Even my friends and family can tell the difference. I would definitely recommend it!

This medication was prescribed for depression, however, some studies show it is supposed to be used for bi-polar disorder. This medication made me woozy and disoriented. My family did not even want to be around me because I was emotionless. This medication is too strong for use by someone with mild depression yet doctors are so eager to prescribe it. I wonder why? What are they getting in return? Where are the values of today's doctors?

the lamictal is a great med for seizures, i changed to lamictal due to having children, and lamictal is safe while pregnant.
